well ive been out of commission for the last few days, but monday was awesome.  got velocichopper fixed {had a hole in the weld}.  then hung out all day till it was time for the show at hoops.  the show was amazing. i had a great  time, and got beat up.  everyone else seemed to enjoy themselves too.  thanks again to time to die, republicorpse, burn unit, guilt parade, and tigerstyle.  thanks grapevan for the soco. and of course to my amazing girlfriend you looked super good that night, and  was a good sport even when some drunkie stopped on her foot in stilettos, and wouldnt move. then i got sick. which is why i dont know if anything else cool went on this week.  i was just tired of seeing the same post up. but we have all been busy trying to put together the bike co-op.  things there seem to be progressing smoothly. name voting being done soon, and also a bike hunx calendar in the pipe.

dont know if there was a freaky friday ride last night, i hope there was. if so im sure someone will update this.

also derek got a new bike, some kinda pista or something.

going to work tonight sick or no, cause i need money.

freaky friday on tonight? i might have some trouble making it, because the chopper needs to be repaired.  also we should get on the ball on getting the screen printing materials, so we can make more colors.  also we can make patches to sell for the co-op. like ccr and jewel patchesand stuff. if everyone is down with that of course.  maybe we can get some supplies on monday {which is also my birthday}.  hopefully i can repair the chopper then too.

The first fundraising opportunity is coming up and here's the info! I hope I see everyone who reads this blog out there (attn: gus, you oughtta repost this on 407)

Milk District Party/BBQ

Milk District (The spot on robinson behind T.G. Lee, with Beta/Covert/Etoile etc.) - where most races here end

Time:

Saturday, January 17th // 12NOON-7PM

What?:

This is going to be a cool fun day to hang out. Firstly, Beta, Covert and Etoile are all having sales on their respective wares, There will be FREE vegan hot dogs provided by Aaron, the GRAND OPENING of both, ETOILE's new location (in the front of the building) and a NEW RECORD STORE called WIGGLY WORLD in the spot behind - where Etoile used to be.

This will functionally be the first fundraiser in a series of many to get the co-op going. Etoile has offered us a spot to table to tell people about the project, as well as to solicit donations. There are a couple plans working themselves out, but it looks like we'll have tools/bike repair, a donation jar, a "diorama," and buttons for sale. Etoile is also donating 10% of their sales to the project as well as having, on their own counter, a donation jar. Let's make this a strong start to a great project! Come out, hang out, eat some vegan hot dogs, buy some clothes or skateboards or records, and we'll help this community grow together.

FREAKy friday recap

Yabai had an official meeting tonight that was mostly about Colors 

issue with local Motorcycle gangs and what not. so we have decide to either reprint with different ink so black on green or black on black...im not sure some one can jump in if im wrong. 

in attendence to both the meetin and freaky friday was Ryaon, hammer beard, .steve, DEREKK! brit, lucie and sarah. 

we found some stuff at all the locations. also ryaon tried to grab a fl flag from some shop but that didnt work so swell.

any way we came up with around 3or4 rear 26' wheels some tires. a huge straight bar with an attached quill and soem more straight bars. all en all it was a fun time. I myself was super happy that i could come out because i havent been able to come out becuase of work issues.

FREaKY FRiDAY RECaP

This past friday was the biggest freaky friday ever. There were probably 15 people, 4 of which on tallbikes (one triple), jonbeard and velocichopper, and a bunch of others on fg/track bikes. The first (and strongest dumpsters) yeilded nearly nothing. The longer (and less participated) stretch, however, got us teds of tires, some brake cable, a chain, and most notably a serfas floor pump (a nice one at that). Jonbeard took some pics, we'll see if they make it up...

There was also a small meeting before the ride consisting of myself, jonbeard and sarahbeard talking about some ideas about membership. We'll need to discuss all of it as a group (how about a real meeting soon?), but we liked:

1) All those with colors +derek and apevan are "in" - sort of as founding members
a: this includes, myself, jonbeard, sarahbeard, .steve, eric, keri, jeremy, lucy, apevan, and derek. (i hope i got everyone)
2) Getting "in"
a: people have got to be invited - after the group approves the invitation unanimously
b: if the prospective invitee accepts, they become a "prospect" for three months - a trial period if you will
this will ensure we're all friends, and said invitee is indeed who they say they are.
c: if at the end of the prospect period, the person is "approved" they can complete an initiation based upon their abilities and skill level. the group will come up with something.
3) monthly potluck - we had an idea to hold a yabai monthly vegan potluck to keep us close - no date set, but jon likes the beginnnings of the week - maybe 2nd sundays? we could have a ride to some sweet spot and hang out and eat yummy food.

tomorrow is molten monday - bring yr bikes - lets make some cool stuff - I'd really like to have a good meeting then, if possible - I'd like to talk about arty party officially, and if we're doing it for sure, what we'd need to do to get ready - it's in february.
